Keep Your Cool

Last week was a trying one. I made a major cluster at work with a client, sent an unintentional Snapchat message to my manager, cracked and ruined my phone screen, spent $200.00 to buy a new phone, dropped that new phone and cracked its screen, paid another $140 to get it fixed, burned my arm on the grill during a BBQ and to top it all off I had to purchase a new battery for my car that refused to start.

With each new event, my patience grew thin. I was upset with myself for making what seemed like avoidable mistakes and had already scheduled a pity party to sulk in my misery. Luckily, before I could attend I was reminded of something that my dad always says, “You can’t control what happens to you, but you can control how you react”.

As much as I hated to admit it at the time, it is true. Happiness is a choice. Life is full of unexpected surprises and although you can’t always dictate its happenings, you can control your attitude and how you allow life’s uncertainties affect you. After a small pep talk and a hug, I was ready to readjust my mindset and take on life from a positive perspective. You’d be amazed at what you can accomplish when shift your outlook and keep your cool.

Despite all of my bad luck, I did receive a small treat this week. I was officially welcomed in the Framed family and I could not be happier about the partnership. Framed is a Houston based eyewear retailer focused on supplying stylish shades for daring individuals. Their frames are sleek, chic, and built to last. The sturdy material is well beyond what you’ll find at your local retailer, and highly exceeded my eyewear expectations. If you’re looking for sunglasses that keep style, durability and price in mind then look no further.  Use my code GLAMAZON and receive 10% off your purchase, so that you can keep it cool all summer long!
